Charities We Support
We work and love to support animal charities. Here are some of those whom we believe are doing a fantastic job and we have recently made donations to.
Central & Southern GSP Society
The Central and Southern GSP Society serves primarily the Central, Southern and South West Regions of the United Kingdom, but is open to all. They aim to provide a wide variety of canine activities to cover the interests of all GSP enthusiasts, within the showing, working and pet scene.
The GSP Rescue Service has been running for over 25 years. It’s aims are to help care for, rehabilitate and re-home German Shorthaired Pointers which are abandoned, mistreated, lost or are needing re-homing by their owners. The GSP Rescue Service rescues and rehomes GSP’s only within mainland Britain.
Staffie and Stray Rescue is a rescue that aims to find forever homes for the often misunderstood breed, the Staffordshire bull terrier. Based in Bournemouth, Dorset, the rescue take on dogs unwanted dogs who have all sorts of different backgrounds. Staffie and Stray Rescue place dogs into foster homes and boarding kennels until a loving permanent home is found for them, although the long term aims for the rescue is to eventually attain land and build kennels so that they can help more dogs at one time. Staffie and Stray Rescue also campaign to help change people’s negative attitudes towards Staffordshire bull terriers, who are often portrayed as dangerous dogs in the media. With 75% of stray dogs being Staffordshire bull terriers, they hope to encourage more people to rehome the breed.
